It's what we bring to our mat, workout, or whatever activity that speaks to us and our bodies. It's all that chaos inside that you bring, whether joyous or otherwise, that can be transformative. And for me the key is to be with it and move with it until I find a sense of stillness. Physical movement can be magical and its mental and physical medicinal effects can be found on a yoga mat, under heavy weights, running, climbing, etc. ... our form is specific to us and can change over time. As for me, I never regret practicing and exploring my edges and limits. All I know is that I do feel better afterwards and I hope you do too!
